TIM PATTON, FOUNDER

Tim Patton was born and raised in California’s San Joaquin Valley and relocated to Humboldt County in 1972 after falling in love with the area’s natural beauty. Raised in a family construction business, Tim developed a strong work ethic and a lifelong respect for craftsmanship from an early age. His career began with hands on trades including sheet metal work and milling, eventually leading him to woodworking and cabinetry.

In 1980, Tim founded Arcata Cabinet and Design Company with a simple but lasting goal: to provide quality cabinetry at a fair price while taking pride in the work along the way. Throughout the years, his commitment to integrity, craftsmanship, and customer care became the foundation of the business.

In the late 1990s, Tim welcomed his son and daughter into the company, teaching them responsibility and sharing the knowledge he had gained through decades of hands on experience. That mentorship laid the groundwork for the next generation of leadership and helped shape the company into what it is today.

Outside of the showroom, Tim enjoys kayaking with his dog Sachi and spending time on the redwood trails he has called home for more than fifty years.
